Surprisingly, this isn’t Gwyneth Paltrow‘s advice!
Recently, there has been a trend in holistic health where women are washing their you-know-whats with a concoction made from oak galls. Essentially, gall wasps lay larvae in oak trees, and that substance is then mixed with other ingredients such as sandalwood or nutmeg to make a paste.
Douching your private parts with this mixture can reportedly tighten and remove smells from the vaginal walls.
However, not everyone is buying this pussy poppycock. Gynecologist Dr. Jenn Gunter wants this hoo-ha hogwash to end!
She wrote in May:
“It could wreak havoc with the good bacteria. In addition to causing pain during sex it can increase the risk of HIV transmission.”
This is NOT the bee’s knees!
